I cannot get away from it. As you quote, Jesus says "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and your neighbor as yourself," sums up the whole law and prophets. Paired with Micah 6:8, this is the whole foundation of the teachings of Christ, as far as I can tell. Sadly, that seems to be the antithesis of the message currently being sent by the "Christian community," as I've come to call the visible church as I know it.
